Baptism is the beginning of our faith and our gateway into the Church. It is the first of three Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation and Eucharist being the other two). Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word". (CCC 1213)
Baptismal Class:
New parents who are having their first child baptized are required to register their child for baptism and attend a class prior to the baptism. The class will help them to understand the meaning of the sacrament and their role in raising their child in the Catholic faith. Classes are scheduled on the second Saturday every other month. Please contact the parish office to schedule your baptism and baptism class.
To Schedule: Call the Parish Office 409-755-1734
